Chris Cuzme, affectionately known in the NYC beer industry as the singular Cuzme, drops by the show to talk about his tenure at the now-defunct 508 Gastrobrewery and his new project with his better half, Mary Izett, called Cuzett. Cuzme has served as NYC Homebrewers Guild president and is a classically trained saxophonist.

For our third and final final installment of the STB#CBC2015PDX mini-series specials, we chat with hometown home-slice Ben Love of Gigantic Brewing, one of our favorite breweries that we visited while in town. Todd Boera of Western North Carolina's Fonta Flora also stops by to talk about brewing fruited sours and GABF gold medal-winning dry Irish stouts in the middle of Southern Appalachia.

Last week, we hit the road and headed to Portland, Ore., for the Craft Brewers Conference. While in town, we visited one of favorite PDX breweries, The Commons, and talked to owner Mike Wright about his recent expansion and finding his place among the thriving Portland beer scene. Local beer writer Jeff Alworth also joined us to talk about the best places to drink in Portland while sharing some exception homebrew with the panel.

Episode 2 - Aaron Goldfarb
In Episode 2, author and journalist Aaron Goldfarb talks to Augie and John about his life as a beer writer and novelist; why he recently stooped so low as to wait in line for a beer release; and how New Jersey beer sucks, "but it's a lot better than it used to be." Aaron shares three beers with panel, including one which Augie thinks is TCA-infected or "cork tainted."
Also, would you you ever shot gun a beer just to keep the oxygen away? We would.

Episode 1 - Jeff O'Neil
For their first episode, Augie and John sit down with Jeff "Chief" O'Neil, the former headbrewer at Ithaca Beer Co. and the Peekskill Brewery, to talk about his post-Peekskill plans to open an IPA and pale ale-focused brewery (with a dedicated canning line!) somewhere in the Hudson Valley. Chief also reveals his favorite everyday lagers (which may or may not include adjuncts) and talks about what experimental hop varieties he's currently excited about. Meanwhile, Augie and John blind taste three amazing beers that Chief so generously brought along.
