Episode 328 - Van Carney, Pen Druid

Happy Monday, Thieves! We have a fun show today that touches on familiar themes we’ve discussed on the show over the years—namely those based around our many discussions with Evan Watson of Plan Bee. We found Evan’s brethren in the hills of Virginia in the Carney brothers of Pen Druid Fermentation. The brothers play in the pscyh-rock band Pontiak by day and brew beer in their downtime using a wood-fired kettle and mostly spontaneous inoculation. Augie’s in his full element here while Holl and Justin just sit back and listen. It was a fun time and we can’t wait to get down to Virginia to visit these guys!
